Saturday saw West Ham United record a 3-1 win against Southampton that could turn out to be massively important.
This was also a monumental occasion for Jarrod Bowen on a personal level, as he made his first start for the Hammers and marked it with his first goal for the club – somethng he posted about on Instagram after the final whistle.
The 23-year-old had been clinical during his time at Hull City, scoring 16 goals in 29 Championship starts this campaign, and he showed that in his first game at London Stadium.
Pablo Fornals played a perfectly-weighted ball to the winger, who took a touch out of his feet with his right foot, before dinking it out of Alex McCarthy’s reach and into the net with his left.

It is this goal which got the game’s scoring started, as the Hammers secured the three points that have taken them out of the relegation zone for now.
The hope will be that he can continue to show this sort of prolificacy in claret and blue, helping the team climb up the Premier League table.
