Duran started the 2024-25 campaign explosively but his form has dipped slightly and he's struggled to hold down a starting spot with star striker Ollie Watkins also impressing up top. But that lack of game time hasn't put off Al-Nassr, with the Saudi side willing to spend a whopping €77 million (£64.5m/$80m) plus add-ons on the 21-year-old Colombia international. According to, Duran will complete a medical in London on Thursday ahead of a potential move.

Given his clear quality and proven ability to score goals in the Premier League, many people will be disappointed to see Duran dropping out of top-tier European football for a slice of Saudi cash. But Villa's young star seems set on accepting a lucrative five-and-a-half-year deal that would see him join top international talents like Cristiano Ronaldo, Sadio Mane and Aymeric Laporte at Al-Nassr.

DID YOU KNOW?

Sixteen of Duran's 20 Premier League appearances this season have been off the bench, a stat which makes his seven league goals seem even more impressive. In total, the 21-year-old has racked up 12 goals in 55 Premier League games for Villa, and three in seven in the Champions League — a record that has helped to catapult the club into the knockout stages.

Duran's Saudi move is bad news for Arsenal, who have been circling around Villa's first-choice striker Watkins this transfer window. Emery has been reluctant to sell his star man and the departure of his understudy means it's now highly unlikely the Gunners will land their key target.
