There are only a couple of months remaining in the 2019-20 season and Tottenham Hotspur’s chances of success hang in the balance.
With just nine games to go, Spurs sit seven points outside the top four in the Premier League and could be knocked out of the Champions League later this evening if they can’t get past RB Leipzig.
They are also out of all the domestic cup competitions.
But it appears as if such struggles haven’t left everyone of a Spurs persuasion as Christian Eriksen has come in for scathing criticism over in Italy following his performances for his new side Inter Milan.
Former West Ham striker Paolo Di Canio said the following: “Eriksen will become a problem for Conte. He is not like Diego Costa, with whom you can fight if you don’t let him play. He is a guy like Hazard: he is silent, you don’t see him much, he never complains, but it is difficult to have a direct and frank confrontation with Eriksen in Tottenham had the chance to lose dangerous balls because there were those who ran for him, at Inter they can’t afford breaks.”

Some of the general reaction poked fun at the Danish playmaker with him being blasted for being “shocking” as well as being “well past his best”.
One supporter suggested it was now the Serie A outfit’s problem while another believed the 28-year-old’s game had regressed.

Since his move to Milan, Eriksen has managed only one goal and one assist in eight appearances, per Transfermarkt.
Others were quick to discuss the impact of chairman Daniel Levy in any deal with him receiving both praise and criticism.
Eriksen was “Levy’d” in the minds of one fan while a further member of the Spurs faithful sarcastically lauded the chairman as he sold an asset previously worth £80-100m for a fraction of the price.
There were also comparisons made to the current setup at the club with the midfield maestro apparently being off form longer than summer arrival Tanguy Ndombele.
Although, one supporter wanted fans to move on from the past as there are more pressing concerns right now.
